I’m a lil late😬, BUT, I try to look at my goals da I’m a lil late😬, BUT, I try to look at my goals daily, so I had to lock in and get this done! Before I sit down and plan out a new month, I like to look at the previous month to assess what worked, and what needs to change. Without slowing down, and looking at my stats if you will, it’s easy to create a narrative that suits whatever story I’m telling myself at the time! Reflection keeps me honest, so this is my reset before fully stepping into May (12 days late😅). Last of the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 photo dump! After excur Last of the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 photo dump! After excursion day, we served at Iglesia Biblica Conce-Sion (ICBS). I didn’t present this day, but the rest of my group did! They delivered PD session covering a wide array of topics for the volunteers and members at the church! The next day, (Sunday), we served with Transforma. We started our day shopping at the local market and I spent most of the time trying to figure out how to smuggle avocados back home! 🙃 We tried some of the local fruit including sugar cane! I hadn’t had it in so long, and it was just as good as I remembered! After we shopped, we went back to @transforma.cr HQ for popsicles, and a brief training on what was next. The street team delivered some of the food to homes, while some stayed back and passed out bags at the office. We walked so many steps this trip, and Costa Rica has SO many hillssssss! After we got back from the neighborhood, we had lunch and then training from Ms. Vanessa, Transforma’s founder! Her story was amazing! Our last full day, Monday, we served La Angelina, and their community. I had to opportunity to provide PD for the teachers at the school, and got to meet with their Principal. A lot of the things the teachers expressed were some of the same things you’d hear over here from teachers! I also got a chance to flex my 75 Day Duolingo streak skills🤪, but Manuel did a fantastic job interpreting for me! After our day there, we went shopping at the mall for mattresses for one of the families, and then had a nice dinner out! I also got to experience my first earthquake! It came in at 5.6 on the Richter scale, and then room literally SHOOK!! 😅 It was such a fast and furious trip, but our group was amazing, and I can’t wait to go back!!! 🩷🪩
